If I’m honest, I feel like I’m in state of some degree of burnout right now. I know I’ll recover, but I just feel unable to read another thing (even as I read an article by Sondra Fraleigh on the correlation between Butoh and nature this morning), and my mind is hardly synthesizing all that I have read/done/researched this summer. I have ideas about dances that I want to make, but in general I am experiencing a persistent near-paralysis in my making. I stand on the platform gazing intently down the empty track into the dark tunnel beyond, where the eventual light will give evidence of an approaching train…
I have no doubt a train will come…it may be two more minutes or two hours, but one will most definitely come…I believe it.
So why do I impatiently need to keep looking down that dark tunnel? Why does my body seem to second-guess what my brain knows? Why does looking seem to somehow keep anxiousness at bay…perhaps it gives my wait purpose? or reminds me to hold onto -to remember – believing?

Thank you everyone who came out last night to the INK works in progress at the Nieto Fine Art Gallery. We had a full house and everyone really seemed to have enjoyed what we had been cooking up.Daniel you are fucking brilliant man. Hello there ladies and gentleman.
Last Saturday night i attended an limited run at a new downtown art gallery called NIETO FINE ART who was hosting the works of San Francisco Ballet principal Ruben Martin. Everyone came out to the event that night to show Ruben some love and it was great to see a lot of the local dance scene all in one place because the rarely happens with everyone schedules. Interestingly come to find out a couple days before i had learned that we had a works in progress showing for the new show INK that im choreographing for. ...
