SWDA’s tour to Italy and Slovenia- a success!

SWDA has just returned from a thrilling three week tour of Italy and Slovenia. With performances in Milan, Modena, Gallopoli and finally Ljubljana, Slovenia, Shen Wei and the company were met with adoring fans and sold out performances! Below are some beautiful photographs from performances in the historic Teatro Comunale Pavarotti in Modena, Italy named after Luciano Pavarotti, a native of the town and life-long resident.

We wanted to share our excitement after opening night at the Piccolo Strehler Theatre – Milan’s top venue for performing arts. The theatre sold out and the audience of one thousand included main dance critics as well as the directors of the theatre and a wide range of people of all ages. Shen Wei danced in Folding which was an incredible treat for his many Italian fans.
