The white background really makes this colorful photo pop. I loved this series of images of this precious tap dancer – the oversized hat, and those curls reminding me of Shirley Temple. Just cute! I hope your recitals are all going well this year.

Sunday Snapshot: A Field Of Blue
May 2, 2010 · Posted by Dance Advantage ·
Today’s photo was taken at a Multicultual Celebration in Jerome, Idaho. The youth dancers, about 1400 of them, come from several different counties. The girls on the stage auditioned and were selected to be part of a specialty team which consisted of 20 young women. The photo has an interesting perspective with so many dancers creating a sea of arms at the foot of the stage. Something about the streamers and v-shaped wingspan reminds me of paper cranes!
About the photographer: Jolene Toland’s efforts to preserve memories through photography has expanded into a full fledge hobby. In fact, ...

Is it possible to travel through time? Not with sophisticated tech machinery but via photography. After all, who says that travelling via photography isn’t sophisticated?!
Those are some questions on which Ana Peraica is trying to find the answer within photography projects Negativeland and Positiveland.

Sunday Snapshot: Trapezium

I was so wowed by this image when I saw it appear in the Sunday Snapshot pool. The distal reach of the dancer’s arms create a striking diagonal and, of course, the musculature of a dancer’s back is always an absorbing feature. I was very taken by the angular shape of the body and play of shadow and light, and I thought you would be too.
