Thank You, English Person, Who Bought My Book and Put Me on the Map in the Amazon UK Store :)

Hehe, I am all giddy because I just made my first UK sale! This officially puts Swallow on the Amazon UK bookstore map since it now has a ranking – and believe it or not, is currently ranked number 2 in legal fiction and number 32 in literary fiction there! Just realized it’s also ranked in the top 50 in literary fiction in the US store as well, and this marks the sixth week that it’s in the top 10 in legal fiction here. I really couldn’t be more thrilled. I am so happy that people are reading my book ...

A Psychologist Likes Swallow!
August 14, 2010 · Posted by Tonya Plank » Swan Lake Samba Girl ·
Swallow just received a very good review from a psychologist and top 10 reviewer on Amazon! I was a bit worried since the book is mainly about a psychological condition, and a psychologist is one of the main characters, so I’m thrilled she liked it. The psychologist in the book is very Freudian, which is I guess is not the norm today. Anyway, it definitely helped me to get over the sting of my first one-star review! That’s okay – knew I’d have to get one at some point…
I’m also having fun sending the book out to international bloggers. It ...

DAVID HALLBERG GETS A NEW HEADSHOT
August 2, 2010 · Posted by Swan Lake Samba Girl ·
It’s happened again. I was looking through old blog posts on the test site for the new blog (just to make sure everything’s transferred okay from old to new blog), when suddenly, I spy in some of my image links to ABT a different David Hallberg.
Update:
Apparently it’s update your headshot time at ABT because Blaine Hoven’s got a new one up too.
Hoven’s looks kind of Dashiell Hammett / Raymond Chandler-esque, no?

JENNIFER BELLE REHEARSED PROFESSIONAL LAUGHERS AT DANCE NEW AMSTERDAM
August 2, 2010 · Posted by Swan Lake Samba Girl ·
Ha, I love it when my two favorite subjects – dance and lit – collide! A favorite author of mine (ever since her Going Down days), Jennifer Belle, publicized her latest book by hiring actresses to read it in public places throughout New York and laugh hysterically while doing so. She happened to audition the actresses at Dance New Amsterdam, the large studio in lower Manhattan that’s a favorite of small dance companies for inexpensive rehearsal space and that’s recently been in danger of closing due to lack of funds. Anyway, read the rest of the rather amusing story here.
